Throughout the year we will hold workshops to help you understand more about developing your whenua. At the workshops we will bring together some of the organisations that are involved in the process. There will be two types of workshops;
A beginners' workshop
Aimed at assisting whaanau who have maaori freehold land but are yet to get together with shareholders to decide what to do and how. This workshop will provide a basic overview of the process, information on trust structures, what funding is available, and an overview of the District Plan rules.
An intermediate workshop
For those who have already formed a trust and are in the process of or have had an occupation order, occupation licence, or partition order granted. This workshop will provide a more in-depth look at the rules, funding, plannng options and the services that are available to you at this stage of the process.
