Thinking of organising an event in one of the Waikato’s beautiful reserves? Our events team are on hand to make it as easy as possible for you to hold your event on our Council owned public open spaces.
Please fill out the event form at least 2 months prior to the event and provide as much information as possible. Make sure to fill out the Hazard register on the last page. This is compulsory for all events, no matter the size.
We will then review your application and work across Council departments to facilitate any specialist support required to ensure a safe and successful event. We will be in touch if we require additional information prior to the approval.
A key bond might be required to get access to some reserves and will be refunded after inspection and return of the key.
Waikato District Council reserves the right to decline an application if insufficient notice or information is provided.
You can complete the form online or download a PDF version and send it to Teresa.Lange@waidc.govt.nz.
