Volunteering

Here at Waikato District Council we love and appreciate our volunteers and the great work they do in our communities.

We want to encourage and support our volunteers whilst ensuring they are safe and kept out of harm's way. We have a dedicated team here at council to support your volunteer group throughout the process.

If you are a volunteer or are planning to engage in volunteering activities in a public space within the Waikato district, please complete the Volunteer Work Activity Form so one of our team can work closely with you to get your project off the ground.

Do you organise community litter pick-up events?

We want to help by covering cover the costs of disposal. If your group or organisation is interested in running an event, please get in touch with 0800 492 452 or email us at info@waidc.govt.nz and ask to speak Ogechi (pronounced 'oh-GECH-ee').

Apply to undertake volunteer work in a public space

You can complete the form online or download a PDF version and send it to events@waidc.govt.nz.
