What to expect

Starting Tuesday 4 March 2025, this course is full of sustainable lifestyle inspiration! Focusing on key sustainable lifestyle strategies across: waste, food, shopping, money, transport, energy and water, nature, kids and community.

You'll receive 11 online modules over 30 days, each only taking around 30 minutes to complete. You will have access to the modules for up to 6 months.

You will be sent 11 online modules over the course of 30 days - modules will be made up of videos, written content, digital resources and optional live Zoom calls. These modules cover:

  1. The big picture: A bit of perspective to give you some context around the current state of waste and the impact that it's having.
  2. Habits: A simple framework to help you navigate your own personal approach to living lightly.
  3. Waste: hacks, inspiration and tools to help you find simple ways to reduce your household waste.
  4. Food: Food is such a big part of who we are and how we live. This module is jammed full of simple ways to lighten our impact and save time and money.
  5. Shopping & stuff: How do we break up with the constant quest for more? Tips and hacks to simplify our approach to stuff and shopping...without feeling like we're going without.
  6. Money: How we spend and invest our money can be a big part of our impact. This module has the simplest changes with the biggest impact!
  7. Transport: Transport... learn how to reduce our transport impact while still getting where we need to go in a way that is practical and efficient.
  8. Energy & Water: Simple ways to reduce our impact and save money with this module focused on energy and water.
  9. Nature: Be inspired with simple ways to support nature and invite it into your own backyard - it's better for our own wellbeing and the wellbeing of the planet.
  10. Kids: A module focused on easy to implement approaches and tips for raising eco-conscious children.
  11. Community: Tips and insights to inspire those around you to live lightly.

You will also have access to digital handouts with key takeaways and additional resources.

Absolutely! The course will encourage participation to maximise learning. An interactive comments forum means all questions will be answered.

There will be two live Q&A sessions delivered via Zoom that participants are welcome to join with any questions they may have:

  • Launch live Q&A  - 4 March 8pm
  • Mid-way point live Q&A - 20 March 8pm

You will have access to the modules for 6 months if you need more time to complete them or would like to refer back to the content.
