Access to libraries in Waipa district is free for Waikato District Council residents and ratepayers.

Using Hamilton City Libraries

Those living near Hamilton City can use Hamilton’s libraries for free.

The free membership applies to those in the zone immediately around Hamilton. To see if you are in the zone please check out the map and the list of streets below.

The access to Hamilton libraries is part of an agreement and covers approximately 8000 Waikato District households in the southern area of Waikato District; a total of around 23,000 people.

 

How to join Hamilton City Libraries for free?

Bring personal identification (for example, drivers licence) and take proof of your address to one of Hamilton City’s libraries and they will be able to join you up for free.
