Notice is hereby given that Waikato District Council, for allowing Club Targa Inc to hold the Targa Bambina 2023 tarmac rally, proposes to temporarily close a number of roads in the district on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 March 2023.
The proposed roads and times for these closures are:
Saturday 18 March 2023
1.05pm to 6.05pm (Mercer area)
Kellyville Rd (full length)
Koheroa Rd (from Kellyville Rd to Mangatawhiri Rd)
Sunday 19 March 2023
7.55am to 12.55pm (Glen Murray/Rotongaro area)
Glen Murray Rd (from Highway 22 to Rotongaro Rd)
Rotongaro Rd (from Glen Murray Rd to Hetherington Rd)
8.25am – 1.25pm (Huntly area)
Waikokowhai Rd (from Hetherington Rd to Rotowaro Rd)
12.35pm to 4.35pm (Te Kauwhata area)
Waikare Rd (from Waerenga Rd to Waiterimu Rd)
Waiterimu Rd (from Waikare Rd to Taniwha Rd)
1.30pm – 5.30pm (Meremere area)
Kopuku Rd (from Okaeria Rd to Coalfields Rd)
Coalfields Rd (from Kopuku Rd to Island Block Rd)
Island Block Rd (from Coalfields Rd to Te Puea Ave)
For the proposed period of closure the roads would be manned at intersections by clearly identifiable marshals equipped with radio communication and access will be provided in the event of an emergency.
