Partial Withdrawal of Proposed Plan Change 16 Tuakau Structure Plan - Stage 1 (Residential and Industrial Rezoning)
Pursuant to clause 8D(2) of Schedule 1 of the Resource Management Act 1991, Waikato District Council hereby gives public notice that Proposed Plan Change 16 – Tuakau Structure Plan Stage 1 (Residential and Industrial Rezoning) (PC16) has been withdrawn IN PART.
The part of PC16 that is withdrawn is the proposed Tuakau Industrial Zone (Map 6) and
associated provisions in Schedule 24G. These were to replace the existing Business Zone and two industrial zones within the Whangarata Business Park on Bollard and Whangarata Roads.
Council has decided to withdraw these proposed provisions on the grounds that it is more
appropriate to consider the zoning and provisions for the Tuakau industrial area as part of the comprehensive district plan review currently underway.
This decision was made by resolution of Waikato District Council on 12 December 2016.
The remaining residential component of PC16 is not affected by this withdrawal.
