PR-21257 Pookeno Road Traffic Bridge

Flood prevention and resilience project.  Upgrade to Pokeno Road bridge to improve the level of service and increase capacity. We are now conducting a bridge design in addition to the road raising and widening design works which has already been completed.  Once completed, the works will be tendered for construction beginning in 2025. 

Project Update

March 2025 - Design and Consenting is continuing which will be complete by June 2025.  The project will then go on hold until funding is received from Waka Kotahi for construction.
