PR-22184 Paterson Park Playground upgrade

We’re planning to make exciting improvements to the Paterson Park Playground in Ngaaruawaahia.  The purpose of Neighbourhood playgrounds is to provide play amenities to the local neighbourhood serving children living in the immediate neighbourhood. 

Project update

March 2025 - The playground and 3x3 court are complete and open for use. Line marking on the 3x3 court has been completed by the contractor.

Thank you to our Ngaaruawaahia whaanau for more than 650 responses to our Paterson Park Playground upgrade survey.  With Option 2 being the preferred option and selected by the community, we are getting the plan priced by two local contractors. Our aim is to award the contract at the beginning of June with an aim to start works end of July 2024.
