Hukanui Playground
As part of this project, we are proposing to relocate the principal's house to make way for the utilisation of the space at the rear of the reserve.
Currently, we are in the process of further defining the concept plan and project details. Our aim is to create an inviting and functional park that meets the needs of the community.
Project Update
June 2024 - Initial conceptual design completed for the wider area. Detailed design now starting which will be a collaboration between the designer, Gordonton District Community Board and Ngati Wairere. Construction estimated to start in December 2024, and complete in Feb of 2025.
