Thank you all for conserving water this past week whilst we have worked to resolve the issues due to excessive rainfall. Water usage can return to normal now, and there is no further need to conserve. Thank you all again for your efforts!

We will be discharging to the incoming tide tomorrow (Saturday), therefore we recommend no swimming or shellfish collecting until 6am Monday 18 July, when a further update will be provided. Thank you for your cooperation during this time.

Thank you all for your efforts to conserve water over the past few days.
We are asking you to please continue conserving until Friday evening, and we hope to provide a further update before then.

We are extending the recommendation for no swimming and no shellfish collecting until 6am Saturday morning (16 July).
We will continue to monitor the situation, and aim to lift this recommendation by then, however there is further rainfall predicted over the coming days.

Huntly, Ngāruawāhia, Taupiri and Horotiu residents are being asked to continue to conserve water until further notice.
This is due to excessive rainfall and high river levels causing poor water quality which is impacting our production at our treatment plants.
