Free summer events down at the pool

With the sun shining and summer well underway, we’ve got a range of free summer activities taking place at all of our community swimming pools during January.

Don’t miss the opportunity to bring friends and whaanau together to cool down while having heaps of fun.

Huntly pool fun day

Do you think you can complete our inflatable run challenge? Come along to the Huntly community pool on Friday 10 January between 12pm and 4pm to give it a go! With music, toys, games and even a BBQ, there’s something for the whole whaanau to enjoy.

Ngaaruawaahia pool fun day

Spend the afternoon cooling off at the Ngaaruawaahia pool on Saturday 18 January from 12pm – 4pm. Relax, listen to music and enjoy some kai while the kids play in the pool, have a crack at the inflatable run challenge and take advantage of our range of toys.

Tuakau pool fun day

If an afternoon around the pool is on the cards, head along to Tuakau pool on Friday 24 January from 12pm – 4pm. With paddle boats, toys, games, music and food on offer, you won’t have to worry about a thing all afternoon!

Holiday swim intensives

It’s no secret that Kiwi kids love the water, especially during the summer months. The best way to ensure kids are safe and water-savvy is by teaching them the basics around the pool. If you’ve got friends or whaanau learning to swim, our holiday swim intensive programme is the perfect opportunity to enhance water skills.

With two holiday swim intensives in Ngaaruawaahia and Tuakau running throughout January, you’ll be able to take part no matter where you’re based in the district.

  • Ngaaruawaahia pool: Monday 13 January until Thursday 16 January from 9.30am – 12.30pm.
  • Tuakau pool: Monday 20 January until Thursday 23 January from 9.30am – 12.30pm.
