Tracy Jones elected to Huntly Community Board

Results from the Huntly Community Board by-election have been confirmed. Tracy Jones will join the board.

The next board meeting will be held in February 2025.

The role of the community board is to express the community’s views on local issues to Council.

“Born and bred” in Huntly, Tracy has been a volunteer at the Huntly Speedway for 30 years and owns a local plumbing business with her husband.

Tracy says she wants to give back to the community and has a common sense approach to issues. She is interested in how ratepayer money is spent and being part of the decision making process.

The by-election was needed after the resignation of a member. Voting closed on 17 December. More information can be found here.
