Waikato district preliminary election results

Preliminary election results this evening indicate that Allan Sanson has been re-elected for a fourth term as Waikato District Council mayor, beating Korikori Hawkins and Simon Thomson.

Those provisionally elected to the Waikato District Council are:

Eugene Patterson

Jan Sedgwick (Whangamarino) and Aksel Bech (Tamahere) were both elected unopposed.

*indicates a new candidate elected to Waikato District Council.

Preliminary results have also been released for the Community Boards. Some results for the Community Board results are still very close and positions will be confirmed when the official results are declared later in the week.
