With the settled weather hopefully just around the corner, the Waikato District Alliance are getting ready to finish off re-painting the Tuakau Bridge.
Work is planned to start on Tuesday 25 October and will take approximately one month. Because the bridge is very narrow, restrictions will be in place for tractors and vehicles that are larger than 2.75m wide.
“Having a restriction will allow a safe working zone for the public, bridge painting staff and the equipment we will be using,” General Manager Service Delivery, Tim Harty says.
A temporary traffic management plan will be in place during the day, with manual traffic control in place at either end of the bridge. Large tractors and vehicles won’t be able to use the bridge between 8am-1pm and 2pm-6pm each day while the work is completed. Regular vehicles will be able to travel across the bridge as normal.
