Ngaruawahia Library will closed at 5pm on Friday 24 April for a pre-winter spruce up. New flooring is being laid and the interior walls are being painted. A new staff kitchen is also being installed.
The library will re-open on Monday 11 May. During this time library users are encouraged to visit the Huntly library, 142 Main Street, Huntly.
Council are looking in to other options to deliver library services to the Ngaruawahia community while the renovations are underway but no services have been confirmed yet.
The refurbishment work is part of a $56,000 library maintenance programme, which includes Ngaruawahia and Tuakau.
