Presentation: Final options for Raglan’s wastewater discharge
A special presentation will share Waikato District Council’s proposal for how wastewater treatment and discharge will be managed in the future.
The plant is currently being upgraded to a membrane bioreactor (MBR), which means Council has more options in terms of what can safely be done with the treated wastewater. Reviewing three possible options, regular meetings with community groups have favoured a land-based discharge onto a gully at Wainui Reserve.
The special presentation evening will be at 6pm on Tuesday 19 November at the Raglan Club. Staff will also be holding pop-up sessions in Raglan later in the summer, with dates to be confirmed.
